This Privacy Policy explains how Xtar Foundation collects and uses your personal information when you use our website (xtar.io) and sign up for our private beta or creator programme.
Xtar is a fantasy football game currently in pre-launch private beta. The beta is free to play.
1. Information we collect
Waitlist sign-up: your email address.
Creator / beta-partner applications: your name, alias/handle, email, phone number (optional), social media handles (e.g. Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok), and any details you choose to share about your community.
Technical data: information your browser sends automatically (e.g. IP address, device/browser type) and data collected via cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
2. How we use your information
To manage our waitlist and tell you when early access is available.
To review and respond to creator/partner applications.
To send you updates about Xtar and the beta — you can opt out at any time.
To operate, improve and secure our website.
3. Legal basis (where applicable)
Where UK/EU GDPR applies, we process your data based on your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interests in operating and growing Xtar.
4. Who we share it with
We use trusted third-party services to run our waitlist and forms, including Mailchimp (email) and Google / Sheet Monkey (form submissions). These providers process data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to run the beta and waitlist, or until you ask us to delete it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent. To exercise these, email hello@xtar.io.
7. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure it stays protected.
9. Children
Xtar is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
